SEVENTH PROJECT, co-founded by Ashley Robicheaux and Lauren Kravitz, is a collaboration between 7 artists of different mediums who have come together to create an evening-length work. Narrated by poet, Eric Stiefel, the show explore's a young man's mind, manifested physically by the dancers' movement and relationships. As the show progresses the audience is transported between the boy's dreams and realities until the two become so intertwined they are no longer discernible.
As SEVENTH PROJECT, we imagine a world where the space between dreams and reality fuels the actualization of the imagination. Through dance, film, music, text, and design, we dream of transporting our audience to an imaginative land where anything can happen.
Each artist will contribute through their own artistic medium, and each created piece will fold onto the others. This folding of pieces will create a piece that is both layered and cohesive, that is solid yet innovative. Through collaborative effort, the creative input of each respective individual will merge like tributaries into a flow of both conscious and subconscious thought.
